10TEN JHL LX250R 21/19 Motocross Bike
The 10TEN JHL LX250R 21/19 is the motocross-focused machine in the new 10TEN JHL line-up. Built around a full-size chassis and equipped with a 42 hp YK250 engine, Bosch EFI, KYB adjustable suspension, DID wheels and a 21/19 motocross wheel combination, the LX250R takes a noticeably different direction from the trail-focused models in the range.
While bikes such as the LX300 combine off-road performance with more general-purpose equipment, the LX250R strips things back and puts the emphasis on performance, suspension, weight-conscious components and motocross riding.
At the heart of the bike is the YK250 engine, producing a claimed maximum of 42 hp and driving through a five-speed manual gearbox. Rather than a conventional carburettor, fuelling is handled by a Bosch electronic fuel injection system, giving the LX250R a more sophisticated engine management setup than the carburetted models in the range.
Full-Size Motocross Chassis
With a 1500mm wheelbase, 960mm seat height and 2170 × 830 × 1290mm overall dimensions, the LX250R is a full-size machine.
Its motocross focus is immediately apparent in the wheel setup. Rather than the 21/18 combination found on the LX300, the LX250R uses the familiar 21-inch front and 19-inch rear motocross combination.
The bike runs genuine DID aluminium rims with CNC aluminium hubs, wheel locks and Pneumax 90/100-21 front and 100/90-19 rear tyres.
KYB Adjustable Suspension
One of the standout features of the LX250R is its KYB adjustable suspension.
The suspension can be tuned to better suit the rider, track and riding conditions, while the rear works through a CNC-machined aluminium alloy linkage system and an aluminium alloy welded swingarm.
Combined with the full-size 21/19 wheel setup, this gives the LX250R a chassis specification clearly aimed towards motocross use rather than simply being a larger pit bike.
Higher-Spec Components
The LX250R uses a CNC-machined aluminium steering stem finished in black and a Series 7 aluminium alloy handlebar, giving the cockpit a suitably purposeful setup.
Drive components have also been upgraded. Power is transferred through a 520 DID chain, with a 13-tooth aluminium front sprocket and 50-tooth aluminium rear sprocket.
Front and rear hydraulic disc brakes provide the stopping power, paired with GG-grade brake pads. Stainless steel footpegs provide a secure platform for the rider, while the rear brake pedal, gear lever and side stand are all manufactured from aluminium alloy.
A compact 6-litre motocross-style fuel tank keeps the bodywork slim around the rider, while plastic radiator covers provide protection around the cooling system.
There's no headlight or unnecessary road-style equipment fitted. Instead, the LX250R gets an hourmeter to keep track of running time and servicing.
Finished with a black frame, stainless steel and aluminium exhaust, and 10TEN + JHLOFR graphics, the LX250R brings together the strongest performance figure in this part of the range with premium components from recognised names including Bosch, KYB and DID.
