10TEN JHL SK70 10/10 Pit Bike
The 10TEN JHL SK70 10/10 is the smallest bike in the new 10TEN JHL range, built around compact dimensions, an automatic clutch and electric start to make getting started as straightforward as possible.
Power comes from the HS70 four-stroke engine, producing a claimed maximum of 6 hp. With an automatic clutch, there's no clutch lever for the rider to manage, making the SK70 a much simpler introduction to a petrol-powered off-road bike than the larger manual-clutch models in the range.
Starting is equally straightforward. The SK70 is electric start only, powered by a 5Ah gel battery, so there's no kick-start procedure to worry about. Fuelling is handled by a PZ19 carburettor, while the compact 3.5-litre fuel tank is finished with a CNC vent valve.
Built Around Smaller Riders
With a 630mm seat height, 1015mm wheelbase and compact 1440 × 650 × 900mm overall dimensions, the SK70 is considerably smaller than the larger 10TEN JHL models.
It runs a 10-inch front and 10-inch rear wheel combination, keeping the bike low and manageable while giving younger or smaller riders a more appropriately sized riding position.
The wheels use tough black steel rims with aluminium hubs and Yuangxing tyres, while straightforward 33mm telescopic front suspension and rear suspension are matched to the bike's compact chassis.
Simple, But Properly Equipped
Although the SK70 is the entry point to the range, it still gets hydraulic disc brakes at both ends, rather than relying on a simpler drum brake setup.
Stainless steel footpegs provide a secure platform for the rider, while a steel bottom protector helps protect the underside of the engine when riding off road.
Drive is through a 428H Choho chain, with a 14-tooth steel front and 39-tooth steel rear sprocket, while the rear wheel is carried by a steel swingarm.
An hourmeter is fitted as standard, which is particularly useful for keeping track of running time and making sure routine servicing isn't overlooked.
Finished with a black frame, black steel handlebars, steel and aluminium exhaust, and 10TEN + JHLOFR graphics, the SK70 keeps things deliberately straightforward: a compact petrol pit bike with electric start and an automatic clutch, designed to make the step onto a geared off-road machine less complicated.
