10TEN JHL TLX300 21/18 2-Stroke Enduro Bike
The 10TEN JHL TLX300 21/18 sits at the very top end of the new 10TEN JHL range. Built around a 300-class two-stroke, water-cooled engine producing a claimed 48 hp, the TLX300 combines Bosch EFI, a six-speed gearbox, full-size 21/18 wheels and highly adjustable suspension in a package aimed squarely at serious off-road riding.
Where the LX250R is focused towards motocross, the TLX300 takes a more enduro-style approach, combining strong two-stroke performance with an 18-inch rear wheel, larger 9-litre fuel tank, LED lighting, hand guards and practical protection for longer and more technical off-road riding.
48 HP Two-Stroke Performance
At the heart of the TLX300 is the water-cooled MT300 two-stroke engine, producing a claimed maximum of 48 hp and paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.
Fuelling is handled by Bosch electronic fuel injection, moving away from the conventional carburettor setup found on several of the other 10TEN JHL models. Both electric and kick start are specified, giving the rider push-button starting with a mechanical backup.
A large 9-litre fuel tank gives the TLX300 greater capacity than the motocross-focused LX250R, while an LCD speedometer and hourmeter provide useful riding and maintenance information.
Full-Size Enduro Chassis
With a 1500mm wheelbase, 960mm seat height and overall dimensions of 2170 × 830 × 1290mm, the TLX300 is a full-size off-road machine.
It runs the classic enduro combination of a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel, fitted with CORDIAL 90/100-21 front and 140/80-18 rear tyres. The wider rear tyre gives the MT300 a noticeably different setup from the other full-size bikes in the range.
The wheels use GLM rims with CNC aluminium hubs and wheel locks, while an aluminium alloy rear swingarm helps keep the chassis specification suitably high.
Fully Adjustable Suspension
The TLX300 gets a substantial 54/60mm inverted front fork, measuring 950mm and using a dual-chamber adjustable design.
At the rear is a triple-adjustable shock, working through a CNC aluminium alloy linkage system. This gives the rider scope to fine-tune the suspension setup to suit different terrain and riding conditions.
Built for Technical Off-Road Riding
The TLX300 has a number of details that reinforce its enduro positioning.
A plastic engine bottom protector provides additional protection underneath the motor, while the radiator is protected by a CNC aluminium cover. Hand guards are also fitted, along with a front brake disc protector.
The cockpit uses a Series 7 aluminium alloy handlebar with a black CNC aluminium steering stem. CNC footpegs provide the rider's platform, while the rear brake pedal, gear lever and side stand are all aluminium alloy.
Power reaches the rear wheel through a 520 oil-seal chain, running a 13-tooth steel front and 50-tooth aluminium rear sprocket. Front and rear hydraulic disc brakes with GG-grade pads handle the stopping power.
Finished with a black frame, stainless steel and aluminium exhaust, LED headlight and 10TEN + JHLOFR graphics, the TLX300 is the performance enduro machine of the new range – combining the character and power of a two-stroke with Bosch EFI and a chassis built for full-size off-road riding.
